Virginia Cops Shoot Innocent Dad, Get Convicted, No Jail Time

Officers Edward Ferron and Savannah Simmons opened fire through the closed door and shot an innocent dad, Walker Sigler, in the leg on the night of Feb. 17, 2018 (more video below).

Ferron and Simmons — who were investigating an open door at Sigler’s home — were indicted on three felony counts of reckless handling of a firearm resulting in serious bodily injury, unlawful wounding and unlawful shooting at an occupied domicile, notes WSET.

Ferron and Simmons pleaded no contest to amended charges of reckless handling of a firearm on March 25, 2019.

Ferron and Simmons were both sentenced to 12 months in jail each, with all time suspended, plus 100 hours of community service that must be completed by March 1, 2020.
