Uber Fires Driver Who Kicked Out Gay Couple For Kissing In Car

Uber says that it has fired a driver who was filmed kicking out two women from her car after they kissed in Camden County, New Jersey on Sept. 6.

One of the women, Kristin Michele, filmed the incident and posted it on Facebook where it went viral.

Kristin Michele and Jenn Mangan told NJ.com were on their way to a Zac Brown Band concert when Michele leaned over and gave Mangan a kiss on the cheek.

Michele started recording a video right and asked: “Are you kicking me out because I’m gay?” and the driver responded, “Yes, I am. Yes. Get out.”

Uber addressed the incident in a statement, notes News New Jersey 12,

Uber does not tolerate discrimination in any form and we have been in contact with this rider. We removed the driver’s access to the app as soon as we were made aware of this incident.
