Trump Admin Limits Women’s Access To Birth Control, Per Demands Of The Religious Right

The Trump administration has bowed to the demands of the Religious Right by allowing nonprofit organizations and small businesses to deny their female employees birth control, notes the Friendly Atheist.

The Health and Human Services Department announced that nonprofits and small businesses can use their religious and non-religious moral convictions to withhold contraception coverage from their employees insurance.

The Wall Street Journal notes “the timing of the announcement, one day after the midterm elections, is expected to buoy antiabortion activists who see the Democrats taking control of the House of Representatives as a blow to their cause.”
