Trump Accuses Gov. Investigators Of Treason, Falsely Claims Nobody Warned Him About Flynn
President Donald Trump accused government investigators of treason and demanded they be jailed for a long time for allegedly spying on his campaign.
My Campaign for President was conclusively spied on. Nothing like this has ever happened in American Politics. A really bad situation. TREASON means long jail sentences, and this was TREASON!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 17, 2019
Trump also falsely claimed that no one warned him about his former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, after a judge ordered the release of damning new evidence against him.
It now seems the General Flynn was under investigation long before was common knowledge. It would have been impossible for me to know this but, if that was the case, and with me being one of two people who would become president, why was I not told so that I could make a change?— Donald J. Trump was repeatedly warned not to hire Flynn by former President Obama., Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland and acting attorney general Sally Yates, who was fired by Trump.
