The parents of an unarmed man, Bijan Ghaisar, who was killed by U.S. Park Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, have still not heard why their loved one was shot on Nov. 17, 2017, and died on Nov. 27, 2017.
The FBI, the Justice Department and Park Police have failed to give a reason to James and Kelly Ghaisar for killing their 25-year-old son after he left the scene of a minor fender bender that he did not cause.
Kelly told WTTG that the authorities are stonewalling:
It’s been nothing but stonewalling. We haven’t had anyone who has been actually working on this case, involved on this case, to actually shed any light to us – as if we have no rights.
A recently-released Fairfax County police report confirmed that Bijan was not armed and there were no drugs in his vehicle.
Bijan stopped twice for the officers, who approached him with guns drawn, and then drove off. The third time the Bijan stopped, he tried to drive around the officers when he was shot.
James and Kelly recently filed a lawsuit.
