An unidentified mother was upset because police would not bring students out of Great Mills High School in Maryland, following a shooting, to be reunited with their parents.
Instead, the police decided to bus the children to another school and march them into an auditorium to be reunited with their parents.
The mom complained to WJLA about the lack of school security and the police plan to take the kids to another school:
[My son] heard gunshots and took off running. hetold a teacher that someone must have been shot. And I’m so thankful to the Lord that he spared my son Because bullets have no names.
They’re telling me to go to some school in Leonardtown. I’m sitting here because I don’t want to go there. I want my son out of that school. I’m waiting for them to release my son. They’re telling us to go to some school. I just can’t go there.
The WJLA reporter said the police busing plan was because of the rain, but the mom said she didn’t care about the rain, she just wanted her son.
