‘Miracle’ Dog Is Found Alive Under Rubble In Bahamas, One Month After Hurricane Dorian

Big Dog Ranch Rescue, an animal rights group in Palm Beach County, Florida, used a drone helped rescue a dog trapped under buildings in Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas, one month after Hurricane Dorian devastated the islands.

The dog was rushed to Big Dog Ranch Rescue to receive lifesaving medical treatment and nourishment.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder and President Lauree Simmons told WFOR that the dog, whom she named “Miracle,” is alive, but emaciated:

What an incredible story that we were able to discover this dog alive after being trapped for so long. We are using the latest technology for our recovery teams to locate these animals. In this case, drones played a key role.
