Focus On The Family Defends Drew Brees By Pretending They Are Not Anti-LGBT

Focus on the Family head Jim Daly released a video defending New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who recently made a video promoting Focus on the Family’s “Bring Your Bible to School Day”on Oct. 3.

Daly claimed that Focus on the Family simply disagrees with others on gay marriage, but respects them.

Daly failed to mention Focus on the Family’s years of opposing LGBT rights, anti-LGBT campaigns and support of politicians that oppose LGBT people.

Daly also failed to mention Focus on the Family’s political arm, the Family Policy Alliance, which regularly opposes LGBT rights in the name of “religious freedom,”and promotes so-called gay conversion therapy, which has been debunked and discredited by most medical major associations.

Brees has tried to distance himself from Focus on the Family and their opposition to LGBT people, even though he has been active with the group since 2015.
