Evangelist Franklin Graham Offers Forgiveness To Terrorist Who Killed 115 People: ‘Isn’t That Great?’
Evangelist Franklin Graham offered forgiveness to North Korean terrorist Kim Hyon-hui who killed 115 people by blowing up Korean Air Flight 858 in 1987 (video below).
After blowing up the plane by hiding a bomb in the luggage rack, Kim was captured in Bahrain and extradited to South Korea where she was sentenced to death.
However, Kim was pardoned by South Korea’s then-president who claimed that Kim had been brainwashed by North Korea. The pardon was very unpopular, and Kim lives under 24-hour protection.
Graham wrote on Facebook on Feb. 5 that Kim could be forgiven if she asked for forgiveness if she followed his directions:
Thirty years ago Kim Hyon-hui killed 115 people by blowing up a plane as a North Korean spy. Today she wonders if her sins can be forgiven. I have some Good News for Kim. Her ultimate forgiveness and healing doesn’t come from people or governments, it comes from God—and God wants to forgive her.
The Bible tells us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” No matter how bad the sin, we can have forgiveness by putting our faith and trust in His Son, Jesus Christ. Isn’t that great?
