Evangelist Franklin Graham Defends Trump: His Alleged Adultery Happened Out Of Office

UPDATE: Porn star Stormy Daniels smiles when asked if she had sex with Trump.

Evangelist Franklin Graham defended President Donald Trump’s alleged adultery with porn star Stormy Daniels by claiming it happened while Trump was out of office as opposed to other presidents who allegedly cheated on their wives while in office.

CNN Don Lemon host asked Graham:

Why do you think evangelicals were so willing to call out, say Bill Clinton’s behavior but not President Trump’s?

Graham explained how Trump’s alleged adultery was not like the alleged adultery of former presidents:

The difference is what happened with Bill Clinton, he did this while he was in office, and that’s the difference, and what Kennedy did, the affairs he had was while he was in office, the affairs Johnson had while he was in office. These alleged affairs, they’re alleged with Trump, didn’t happen while he was in office.

This happened 11, 12, 13, 14 years ago. And so, I think there is a big difference and not that we give anybody a pass, but we have to look at the timeline and that was before he was in office. And I think the president has changed quite a bit in the past 11 years, at least I have seen that.

Lemon brought up Trump’s present day Twitter attacks, the reported payout to Daniels in October 2016, Trump’s threat of nuclear war against North Korea, Trump’s call for a ban on Muslims entering the country, the 15 women who have accused Trump of sexual harassment, Trump’s attack on Gold Star families and Trump’s calling certain countries “sh*tholes.”  Lemon said that Graham’s claim that Trump’s has “changed” just “doesn’t stand.”
