Damning Transcripts Tie White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney To Trump-Ukraine Quid Pro Quo Deal

Newly-released House transcripts show former National Security Council (NSC) official Fiona Hill testified on Oct. 15 that U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland laid out President Donald Trump’s quid pro quo deal to Ukraine officials on July 10.

Hill told three House committees how the plan linked to White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, notes The Hill:

Sondland, in front of the Ukrainians, as I came in, was talking about how he had an agreement with Chief of Staff Mulvaney for a meeting with the Ukrainians if they were going to go forward with investigations. And my director for Ukraine was looking completely alarmed.

Hill added that then-national security adviser John Bolton was so alarmed that he told her to report the incident to NSC’s lawyer, John Eisenberg.
