Alex Acosta Gutting Funding For Sex Trafficking Victims, After Defending His Poor Prosecution Of Jeffrey Epstein

Labor Secretary Alex Acosta defended the 2008 light sentence plea deal that he worked out for billionaire serial child sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein on July 10 while he (Acosta) was the U.S. attorney in Florida.

Acosta is now proposing to cut almost 80% of funding for the Bureau of International Labor Affairs, which fights child sex trafficking, notes Democracy Now.

Critics of the 2020 budget proposal say it would dismantle many programs that prevent child sex trafficking.
