52% Of White Evangelicals Say A Non-White U.S. Population Majority Will Be A Negative Development
A new poll by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) finds that 52 percent of white evangelicals feel that it will be a negative development if the majority of the U.S. population becomes non-white.
The poll also found that 39 percent of white mainline Protestants, 32 percent of Catholics, and 23 percent of religiously unaffiliated Americans are worried about a non-white majority.
The poll howed that white evangelicals support President Donald Trump by a whopping 77 percent, despite the numerous criminal indictments and convictions of his campaign team, and his policies to separate immigrant families and imprison children.
CNN reported in March that Trump’s support among white evangelicals had dipped slightly since Election Day (video below).
