Zookeeper Killed By Tiger That He Raised From A Cub

A zookeeper, with the surname Wu, was mauled and killed by a tiger that he raised as a cub at the Fuzhou Zoo in China.

Wu was inside the large metal cage that was normally used for training exercises when the lion attacked him, notes The Sun.

A Fuzhou City Government official said the lion “suddenly bit onto and suffocated him to death.”

Witnesses filmed the lion mauling and poking the trainer’s body inside the cage. They yelled, “Call the police!”

Zoo staff — outside the cage — bravely tried to push the tiger away with a stick.

By the time the zoo staff reached the zookeeper it was too late; he was declared dead by paramedics.
