Christopher Cantwell, a white Supremacist Charlottesville marcher who told Vice News: “We’re not non-violent, we’ll fucking kill these people if we have to,” released a video of himself weeping because there may be a warrant out for his arrest:
I called the Charlottesville Police Department, and said, “I have been told there’s a warrant out for my arrest.” They said they wouldn’t confirm it but that I could find this out I wanted to go to a magistrate or whatever. With everything that’s happening, I don’t think it’s very wise for me to go anywhere. There’s a state of emergency, the National Guard is here. I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to go there frankly.
In tears, Cantwell added: “We have done everything in our power to keep this peaceful.”
Cantrell did not mention Heather Heyer who was killed when a white supremacist drove a car into a crowd in Charlottesville.
In the Vice News video, Cantrell reportedly said of Heyer’s death: “I’d say it was worth it. The fact that nobody on our side died, I’d go ahead and call that points for us.”
“Our enemies will not stop, we have been fucking assaulted. They are threatening us all over the place,” Cantwell cried on his video.
He then accused “tranny fanatic” Chelsea Manning of posting a picture threatening to “curb stomp” Nazis.
Cantwell gave out a phone number for the police to contact him, and said that he had engaged in violence only in self-defense.
