Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore pulled a handgun during his final political rally on Sept. 24.
Moore, who resigned as the state’s Supreme Court judge after repeatedly being reprimanded for not recognizing legal gay marriages, drew cheers from the crowd when he pulled his firearm, notes ABC News:
It’s been very hard for my wife and myself to wither two, nearly three months of negative ads that we couldn’t answer with money because we didn’t have it. Ads that were completely false. That I don’t believe in the Second Amendment. I believe in the Second Amendment.
Moore went on to falsely claim that “guns don’t kill people,” even though about 30,000 people are killed by guns every year, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
