Trump Responds To Barcelona With Myth Of Executing Muslims With Bullets Dipped In Pigs’ Blood
President Donald Trump responded to a terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain, by pushing a myth about an American general who supposedly executed Muslim prisoners in the Philippines with bullets dipped in pigs’ blood.
Trump made his false claim on Twitter: “Study what General Pershing of the United States did to terrorists when caught. There was no more Radical Islamic Terror for 35 years!”
Trump told the fictional story as fact before during his political rallies in 2016, but the History News Network noted: “The story is not true. There was no mass execution led by Pershing. That is a rumor created on the Internet.”
