Trump Didn’t Call New York Governor Or NYC Mayor After Terrorist Attack, But Found Time To Tweet

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed that President Donald Trump did not call either one of them after the terrorist attack in New York City.

However, the president did find time to tweet an attack against Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York.

During a press conference, de Blasio said that he had received calls from the Department of Homeland Security, but not from Trump.

Cuomo added:

I received no call from the president. I am not bothered that the president didn’t call. I am bothered by an attempt by anyone to try to politicize the situation. That plays right into the hands of the terrorists. They’re trying to disrupt, they are trying to create mayhem, they’re trying to divide. The point is to do the opposite. So to politicize this event, I think is wholly counterproductive.
