Soccer player Bruno Boban died on the field during a Croatian football league game on March 24.
Boban was hit in the chest by the ball at close range, appeared to be fine, but then slowly collapsed to the ground and lost consciousness, notes RT.com.
Medics performed CPR on Boban for 40 minutes, but he apparently died from a seizure or possibly suddenly cardiac arrest from a blunt injury.
The Marsonia soccer team paid tribute to Boban on their Facebook page:
All Marsonia players, members of the board and club staff express deep condolences to the family for this tragic loss. Bruno, God rest his soul.
