Fox News host Sean Hannity slammed ABC News, and CNN on Aug. 28 for accurately reporting that Trump said he announced his pardon of former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio during the news of Hurricane Harvey making landfall on Aug. 25.
Hannity was outraged by the accurate reporting:
Watch how insane the media in this coverage is. You can’t make this up… The idea that Donald Trump has to wait until a hurricane to do something that the media will find offensive is just a total knee-slapper.
Hannity failed to mention that Trump said earlier in the day on Aug. 28:
In the middle of a hurricane, even though it was a Friday evening, I assumed that the ratings would be far higher than they would be normally. You know, the hurricane was just starting.
