Sarah Huckabee Sanders Won’t Say Why Trump Lawyer Paid Porn Star Stormy Daniels $130K For Silence

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders dodged when CBS News correspondent Steven Portnoy asked her why President Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen paid porn star Stormy Daniels “$130,000 in the days before the election if her claims were false.”

Sanders claimed that Trump’s outside counsel should answer the question, but Portnoy reminded Sanders that she works for the president:

You do speak for the president. Can you explain why this payment was made in the week before the election?

Sanders dodged the question again, and parroted the White House line, which has nothing to do with the $130,000 payoff to Daniels: “The president continues to deny the allegations.”

Portnoy asked Sanders why Trump did not sign the non-disclosure agreement with the porn star, but Sanders dodged again:

Once again, I would refer you to the president’s outside counsel on that. The president has denied those allegations.

When Sanders was asked a similar question by another reporter, she refused to answer again:

Just because you guys continue to ask the same question over and over again, doesn’t mean we have to come up with something new to say.
