Newly-released police bodycam video reportedly shows New Jersey state troopers searching an innocent man’s anus and genitals by sticking their hands down his pants in South Hampton, New Jersey.
The troopers falsely claimed Jack Levine was being arrested for the odor of marijuana and could not cite the non-existent law.
The troopers failed to find any marijuana, and ended up ticketing Levine for allegedly tailgating, notes New Jersey 101.5.
Trooper Joseph Drew told Levine:
If you think this is the worst thing I’m going to do to you right now, you have another think coming my friend.
Trooper Andrew Whitmore added: “It’s not like TV.”
Levine asked the troopers:
You want me to take my boxers off right here so I don’t have to waste your time and go downtown ’cause you think I got weed?
At one point, Whitmore told Levine:
You’re under arrest for the odor of marijuana.
Drew made the anal search threat moments before putting his hands down Levine’s underwear.
If it comes down to, I have to put on latex gloves and get after it, I will.
Levine protested while he appeared to be anally searched:
Yo — what — yo – you are really on some wild-ass sh*t right now. Oh, man, I can’t wait. Whoo-hoo. You better hope this is legal.
When Levine was searched in front of his pants, and protested again:
Yo, yo, he’s doing some real crazy s–t right now, yo. Yo, I can’t believe this is f–king happening, just because a f–king cops says he smells weed.
After the search was complete, Levine told the troopers:
I know you just sexually assaulted me, but I’m not going to kill myself.
State Police told New Jersey 101.5 that they were aware of the video and were preparing a statement.
