During a TV interview with a local Iowa TV station, Republican presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN) repeatedly dodged questions about on her husband’s counseling center, which reportedly practices “reparative therapy” aimed at converting patients into heterosexuals.
“Well, I’m running for the presidency of the United States and I am here today to talk about job creation,” she said. When pressed for an answer, Bachmann again responded: “Well, I’m here to run for the presidency of the United States,” adding she was “very proud” of her and her husband’s business. She also claimed President Obama had destroyed half the jobs in a particular area of Iowa, but offered no proof.
