Maryland Cop Says Man ‘Didn’t Do Anything,’ Arrests Him Anyway

A police officer was filmed on a body cam arresting and pepper spraying a man even after telling another officer that the man “didn’t do anything” on March 11 in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Annapolis Police Department hast started an internal investigation.

Body camera footage, filmed outside Armadillo’s Bar & Grill at City Dock, shows Officer Jamal Davis wondering what to do after pepper spraying Ryan Greenstreet and Michael Richardson, notes The Baltimore Sun.

On the video, Davis said several times that he’s not going to charge Greenstreet, but other officers question that decision.

Greenstreet was eventually charged with interfering with an arrest, and Richardson was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office dropped the charge against Greenstreet after reviewing the body camera footage.

Greenstreet’s lawyer, John H. Robinson, called on prosecutors to investigate the police who allegedly “colluded to manufacture a charge.”
