Las Vegas Shooting Kills 59, Shooter Stephen Paddock Dead

Fifty-eight people were killed and hundreds more were injured when a gunman opened fire from a hotel balcony at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas (new video below).

The gunman opened fire on a crowd of about 20,000 people who were attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival, a country music concert.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department confirmed the shooter, Stephen Paddock, killed himself.

Paddock, 64, moved to Mesquite, Nevada to retire, reports Reuters.

Paddock checked into a 32nd-floor room at Mandalay Bay on Sept. 28 with least 10 rifles.
