Twenty-four NFL players knelt while Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan stood with arms linked with his players in defiance of President Donald Trump during the playing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Wembley Stadium in London.
Many of the Baltimore Ravens joined the silent and peaceful protest against violence by police officers against African Americans.
All the players stood for “God Save the Queen,” Great Britain’s National Anthem.
Trump told NFL owners to fire players who express their free speech rights during a rally in Huntsville, Alabama on Sept. 21.
