Frightened Passengers Flee As Wind Rips Roof From Airport

Part of the roof at Nanchang Changbei Airport in Jiangxi, China, came crashing down because of strong winds on March 4 (more video below).

The overhang outside the departures fell to the ground as people and cars ran away from the falling debris.

Jiangxi Airports Group Company said no one was injured, and that the  decorative materials on the overhang were ripped off by strong winds.

Some social media users on the Chinese site Weibo questioned if the structure was “tofu construction.”

Inside the airport, people were not as panicked (video below).
