The Family Policy Alliance, the political arm of Focus on the Family, “rejoiced” over Republican victories, including Donald Trump, who has made numerous racist comments and once bragged about grabbing women’s vaginas without permission (sexual assault).
Trump has also attacked POW Sen. John McCain, told the world to watch a non-existent sex tape of a former Miss Universe, has called women “pigs” and ‘dogs,” made a fortune from gambling (which Focus on the Family claims to oppose) and has had five children with three wives.
Family Policy Alliance President Paul Weber falsely claimed that Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton was beaten in a landslide. So far, Clinton is winning the popular vote of all Americans.
Weber also tried to attack Clinton for saying “freedom of worship” even though she has also said “freedom of religion.” President George W. Bush has also said: “freedom of worship.” Weber claimed that freedom of religion meant Christians could live out their faith in the public square, but Christians, like all religions, cannot do whatever they please in the name of religion.
Weber falsely claimed the “left” created the term “freedom of worship.” He also said that Trump promised to put conservatives on the Supreme Court, but failed to mention that the Democrats can filibuster Trump ‘s nominations until midterm elections because Republicans don’t have the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster.
