Conservatives Dismiss Scandals Swirling Around EPA Head Scott Pruitt

Conservatives are admitting they are ignoring the daily controversy surrounding EPA Head Scott Pruitt who reportedly charged taxpayers for expensive flights and rented a condo from an energy lobbyist in Washington D.C. for only $49 per night (more video below).

Republican Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, who was consistently complaining about Obama appointees, admitted on CNN on April 6 that he was not paying attention to Pruitt’s many scandals:

There are so many personnel matters involved with the executive branch, I can’t possibly keep track of them all. I’m doing my best to make sure I understand public policy well enough to be able to cast good votes for our country. That’s where my focus in. These personnel matters, I pay very little attention to.

Conservative Christian activist and head of the Family Research Council Tony Perkins also dismissed reports about Pruitt by telling CNN on April 6 that he doesn’t think “there’s anything there” (video below).

Perkins also defended Pruitt’s large security detail (video below) by claiming that Pruitt is “getting eight times the number of threats his predecessor got.”
