Most U.S. Media is Pro-Israel in Gaza War, Says Glenn Greenwald
Glenn Greenwald appeared on HuffPost Live today to discuss the media’s coverage of the crisis in Gaza, and overall, Greenwald gave the press an F for the way it’s handled coverage. He said the way news outlets have reported on the conflict “is based on the principal that Israeli lives are just inherently more valuable than Palestinian lives.”
Greenwald also went so far as to suggest racial distrust plays a role. He said, “I think there’s a racist element to it. I think there’s an ethnocentric to it. There’s definitely an anti-Muslim strain that runs throughout how this coverage is conducted.”

He singled out certain individuals, like Jake Tapper and Chris Hayes, whom Greenwald said were doing fair jobs. But as for the public at large, Greenwald charged that most people are “cowards” when it comes to saying anything remotely critical about the state of Israel.
