Christian Women March Against Feminism In D.C., March Led By Male Evangelist

Christian women from around the country gathered and marched against feminism on the Mall in Washington D.C. on Oct. 9.

The march against feminism and reproductive rights was staged by Lou Engle, an evangelist who has claimed to have the gift of prophecy.

The Washington Post notes that the Christian women were marching against the record-setting Women’s March, which occurred on Jan. 21, 2016, to oppose the election of President Donald Trump.

Christian speaker Devi Titus told the women in attendance to appreciate men (video above), while Christian author Lisa Bevere attacked feminists:

For years, the feminists lied to us. They said for us to be powerful as women, we needed to act like men.

Many female speakers spoke about outlawing a woman’s legal right to have an abortion.

According to The Washington Post, the turnout for the Christian women’s rally was “modest,” and that many attendees wept in anguished prayer, spoke in tongues and shouted the names of children and loved ones whom they wanted to convert to Christianity.

Attendee Linda Shebesta of Burleson, Texas, told the newspaper:

We believe our nation was founded as a Christian nation. The enemy is trying to take it in another direction, not Christianity… We believe God put Donald Trump in.

Jubilee Underwood, an attendee from Alaska, added:

We’re not fighting for women’s rights. We’re just fighting for our country to be unified.

Gloria Engle, a relative of Lou Engle, told the crowd:

We don’t need to be empowered by marches and speeches. What we need is to be empowered in who we are as daughters of the living God.
