Pvt. Bradley Manning’s friend David House was finally able to visit him at the Quantico brig, where Manning has been held for months without charge. House told MSNBC that Manning seemed “catatonic.” Manning was recently put on suicide watch as punishment for two days and remains under an unnecessary prevention of injury order in maximum custody – far beyond any other prisoner in the brig. Amnesty International and other human rights organizations have condemned the Obama administration’s imprisonment conditions. Manning is suspected of leaking information to Wikileaks.org, but has yet to be charged.
