A woman’s car went through some retention wires and plunged seven stories from a parking garage, almost hitting another car on the ground, in Austin, Texas, on July 13.
Police recently released shocking surveillance video of a Chevrolet SUV doing a three-point-turn, and the car crashing down from above and grazing the back of the SUV.
William Burch, who was driving the Chevrolet SUV, recalled the incident to KVUE:
I was turning around in that little service delivery area. As I was backing out towards the dumpster, I heard something, because I had my window down. I was talking to my mom on speaker on my phone, and I heard all these loud noises and bangs, and I remembered what had happened about 8 months ago. So I just immediately just put it in drive and started driving forward and as I started driving forward, the car landed on me.
The driver of the falling car suffered minor injuries in the crash, and has since recovered.
