Author Eric Metaxas Compares Obama Administration to Hitler, But Uses Obama’s Picture to Sell His Book
Appearing on the Frank Pastore radio show on KKLA-FM in Los Angeles, author Eric Metaxas made numerous comparisons between the Obama administration and Germany because of the HHA birth control mandate, which requires faith organizations to offer birth control under employee insurance plans.
Metaxas talked about his book ‘Bonhoeffer’ and tried to compare the present US administration to the Nazis.
At the same time, Metaxas uses a picture of President Obama holding his book’Bonhoeffer’as a selling tool on his web site:
Metaxas said: “In that book you read about what happened to an amazingly great country, called Germany., In the early 30’s, little things were happening where the state was bullying the churches. No one spoke up. In the beginning, it always starts really, really small. We need to understand as Americans, if we do not see this as aright line in the sand…if you’re not a catholic, if you use contraception, it doesn’t matter, because eventually, this kid of government overreach will affect you.”
Later, Metaxas somehow compares contraception to forcing Christian radio stations to hire gays: “If the government can tell Catholics to violate their consciences and catholic teaching, the government will tell you and me, that unless we hire 10% LGBT to work on your Christian radio station weal will fine you because that’s discrimination. Its not American. its fundamentally opposed to who we are as a people. This attack on the catholic church is an attack on America.”
